Ryan Tracy Receives 2022 Plowman Award
Ryan Tracy is The Chicago Farmers 2022 Plowman of the Year!
The Chicago Farmers makes The Plowman of the Year award annually to a member who best serves its mission of advancing interest in and knowledge of production agriculture and agribusiness.
Ryan is a past Vice President of The Chicago Farmers, and served on its Board of Directors for four years.
Ryan spent his tenure on the Chicago Farmers Board of Directors using his vast connections in Illinois agriculture to help the Farmers’ organize its monthly meeting programs. These efforts were especially helpful during the pandemic when in-person meetings were not possible. Ryan has also been very helpful working with the sponsors of the organization.
Ryan truly left The Chicago Farmers better than it was before his participation on its Board.
A fellow member of The Chicago Farmers Board of Directors said this about Ryan, “As a member of The Chicago Farmers’ Board of Directors, Ryan gave his assistance to the The Chicago Farmers generously and enthusiastically.”
Ryan has also served on the Illinois FFA Foundation Board of Directors and the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences Business Advisory Board. He was the Director for Industry Affairs for Illinois Farm Bureau over the last 11 years and prior to that worked on Agricultural and Energy Policy for a Member of Congress in Washington, DC.
Ryan was raised and currently lives in Monticello.
Congratulations to Ryan Tracy from The Chicago Farmers!
