    David M. Wong 
    Executive Director, Innovation & Growth
    CME Group 

    David helps lead and propel innovation and new growth efforts at CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace. David founded CME Group’s Innovation & Acceleration Lab in 2014 and co-founded the company’s Growth Operating System and Growth Board in 2016. The Innovation & Acceleration Lab helps leaders and teams unpack complex challenges and opportunities to identify new critical insights and connections, sharpen their focus and direction, and accelerate progress toward their objectives. The Growth Operating System and Growth Board funds and drives early-stage exploration and market testing by applying entrepreneurial and lean startup practices in promising adjacent and frontier opportunity areas. These vehicles help fuel and accelerate the exploration, validation and development of early-stage offerings and enhancements to create new sources of value for our customers and business.

    David's previous roles at CME Group included leading strategy and planning across business lines, serving as Chief of Staff in Office of the CEO and leading Enterprise Risk Management.  Prior to CME Group, he worked at LaSalle Bank ABN AMRO and Deloitte. David has a B.A. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois (inactive CPA), an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business, a certificate in Strategic Decisions and Risk Management from Stanford University, and a certificate in Leading Innovative Change from Berkeley. David is also actively involved in the Executives’ Club of Chicago, where he has served on the club’s Board of Directors, Strategy Committee, Leadership Circle Advisory Board and as group mentor in the Mentorship Program.

    Dominic Sutton-Vermeulen
    Manager, Commodity Research & Product Development
    CME Group

    Dominic Sutton-Vermeulen has been with the Exchange since December 2013 and has served as Manager, Commodity Research and Product Development of CME Group since spring 2018. He is responsible for conducting research on the structure and performance of commodity markets, which is used to monitor the performance of and maintain the viability of CME Group commodity futures and options contract markets. He also is responsible for investigating the feasibility of new commodity futures contracts and writing trading rules for new commodity futures. During his tenure, Sutton-Vermeulen has published several white papers related to risk management in commodity markets and has been heavily involved in the creation of multiple domestic and international agricultural and weather futures contracts.

    Prior to joining the Exchange, Sutton-Vermeulen held International Trade internships with National Pork Producers Council and JBS USA.

    He holds dual bachelor’s degree in Economics and Spanish from the University of Iowa and is currently pursing MS in Energy Policy and Climate at John Hopkins University.
