Please join us for the November 13th luncheon at the Illini Center where we will welcome Jeff Hainline and Jeremy Strubhar from Advance Trading Inc, Bloomington IL, to speak on the current state and uncertainty of ag markets. In these times, it can be helpful to re-understand the fundamentals -- the how and why of grain merchandising. The presentation will also include current factors that are influencing both futures prices and basis levels in agricultural commodities, as well as discussing specific strategies that can be implemented to take advantage of the opportunity offered in the market today.

    Jeff Hainline
A 1977 University of Illinois graduate in Finance, Jeffrey has an extensive background in the grain business. He serves as a Commercial Broker and Chairman of the Board of Directors at ATI. Originally from Minier, Illinois, he has customers in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Delaware and Texas. Before joining ATI in 1982, Jeffrey was a cross country trader, SE rail trader, barge freight trader, and merchandising manager for Behimer and Kissner. He is on the Board of Directors for NGFA and sits on its Risk Management Committee. He also was a member of CFTC’s special subcommittee on convergence.

    Jeremy Strubhar
A 1999 Graduate of the University of Illinois in Ag Economics, Jeremy started his career at a small grain elevator in Monticello IL.  In December of 1999, Jeremy joined Advance Trading to help farmers manage their risk in the market place.  For almost 18 years Jeremy has worked with Farmers and end-users primarily in the state of IL building an impressive book of business consisting of over 100 individual operations.  With the experience gained, Jeremy is currently helping mentor 5 younger brokers in building their businesses.  Jeremy enjoys taking his 3 young daughters to his family farm in McLean IL and teaching them about agriculture.
